To what degree remains to be seen, but we certainly can update the list of players. First, let’s set some parameters at the club level. - Any team that is at least 4 games back of a playoff spot with 5 or more teams to pass will be considered a seller. - Any team that is at least 6 games back of a playoff spot with 3 or more teams to pass will be labeled a seller. - Any team 10 games back or more regardless of the number of clubs ahead of them shall be considered a seller. As of July 27, about the 98-game mark, the following clubs, using the above guidliness, can be viewed as non-buyers and likely sellers — if anything: Cincinnati Reds, Oakland Athletics, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Texas Rangers, Washington Nationals, Pittsburgh Pirates, Chicago Cubs, Colorado Rockies, Arizona Diamondbacks.
